ok ok from what ive seen on here there have been posts to stop booters but im not sure any of them suit what im looking for…This person boots me all the time and has locked my account before…i need to know how to stop it because it is a real pain sometimes
You cant stop locking an account, visit http://www.ytunnelpro.com for an anti-booter program.
There are a few versions there, a free and pay version.
My suggestion is to get the free version, as in the developer is horrible with updates, and has left most if not all of his customer base in the dark for over 5 months.

Whoever told that person to download Y! Tunnel obviously hasn’t realized that most people have booters that get through Y! Tunnel seeing as how Chet simpson (who i am no fan of) stopped updating his program a while ago… and besides that … why use Y! Tunnel when you can just not use messenger for chat at all? How bout u use messenger for your buddy list, and another program to chat with under a completely separate Yahoo! account? Then they can’t boot you off mesenger cause they won’t know what name you’re on it with.
Go to http://www.yahelite.org and download YahElite which is a program that filters out spam and boot codes. It runs faster, it’s easy to use, and you don’t get booted logging into the YCHT protocol on it. If you have trouble installing it simply post back and I will help you out… its quite easy…

First and foremost, Y! Tunnel was mentioned primarily for it’s ease of use, a lot of people are not willing to try a third party chat client.
Secondly, I am VERY well aware that Y! Tunnel is not 100% affective when it comes to dealing with booters.
But for the pure and simple fact that it is at least some what of a shield(against a miriad of yahoo! flaws and shortcomings), does make it worth mentioning. (I also am not a fan of chet, but thats besides the point)
Thirdly,why run two seperate clients, that will eat more of your memory and in turn slow down your computer and instant messaging experience? That just makes no sense to me. It would be great if Yahoo actually put out a better Messenger program, which to their credit they have made steps into the right direction. But dont hold your breath on that.
Finaly, your theory of not being booted via the YCHT protocol is flawed, all be it booting a ycht cleint is much harder to do. YCHT is not 100% perfect, it is however a stronger protocol, simply because it doesnt have as much bells and whistles as the YMSG protocol. But this doesnt make it 100% safe, for anything you use there is only a certain level of security that you will have.
Also to mention, that just because a booter says it hits ytunnel, does not mean the booter hits ytunnel. It all depends on how you have your ytunnel and messenger set up. Turn all pm’s, cam and invites off, hence No bombs. Turn all filtering to HIGH!! Do this on both messenger and ytunnel. Being booted has nothing to do with the booter, but your connection and your setup.
Best way to prevent booting is to shut your computer down or just disconnect the Internet connection. No internet means no Yahoo Messenger. No Yahoo messenger means no one can boot you. And trust me. Its easy, cheap (infact FREEE!!!!) and above all IT WORKS!!!!!! Am gonna try my own method 😉
