for some stupid reason i pressed teh accept update on messenger and now i have lost my rude smilys, y tunnel basic doesnt work, the patch that allows you to have more than one messenger open at same time no longer works and its just not working correctly!!! can anyone tell me how i can get messenger 5.5 back without loosing my priceless archives? HELP!!!!

You’ve probably lost the archives and stuff now. Go into the c:program filesyahoo!messenger folder and look for achives , emotes etc… and back them up to another folder like on your desktop.
Go to start>>settings>>Control panel add/remove programs and uninstall yahoo! messenger completely
Then go to http://www.freecreed.com/ymsgr-archive and choose a 5.5 version, download and install, and replace the backups.
