ICQ98 won’t connect because it’s too old, does anyone know of a crack or patch that will get around this forced upgrade plot by the Borg (AOL)? I refuse to believe that resistance is futile!
Sure, use Trillian. 🙂
That’s not even close to helpful. Trillian never worked right for me anyway.
What about getting the newest ICQ?
Yes, whats so great about using ICQ98? What keeps you from not upgrading? The huge file size??
aaron. tried the 99b? it might connect…..
Big disadvantage on ICQ Pro 2003a now is that it doesn’t have the feature where you could unregister (discontinue) your ICQ numbers. On older ICQ (like 98) verisons you could easily unregister ICQ anytime.
I have tried to unregister one of the ICQ number I did not ask for /want another one, when I tried out Praize Christian IM (a Trillian-wannabe) some months ago.
I want to use a pre-AOL version of ICQ without ads. I tried 99b but it wouldn’t connect either. So I’m stuck using ICQ 2000b with the ICQ PowerCrack to remove the ads.
aaron. what os? i found the 99b will load and work on my 95 and 98 computers… but not the win me or xp comps……
just a thought……
u dont like trillian its a crime! how does it not work right anyway? its perfect for me
Aaron
there are no cracks because Mirabilis closed port on which ICQ 98 connected to server
but there are a lot of patchs wich delete any ICQ ads
ex, this archive include anti-banner patch for ICQ versions from 2000a #3143 to 2003a #3800
thanks koma…..
i think i had heard that somewhere once….. one day i will remember it .
