Is there a program that will automatically tag my Mp3s, Mp4s and AACs for me? Is it possible for iTunes to do this? Also what about organizing my music like iTunes does when I rip a CD?
I actually asked the same question here a long time ago, and got some GREAT responses. To this day, I still use EAC to rip my CDs — it does a kick-ass job of variable-rate encoding, which gives you the right balance of audio quality and file size. Makes ripping CDs a piece of cake.
It’s a bit of work to get it setup, but once you do, you never have to fiddle with the settings, just load a CD, download the track info from the CDDB and click the MP3 buttom. All the ID3 tag info will be correctly included and your MP3s will be organized just the way you want them.
I reccomend using the music brainz tagger. They have a library of over 3 million songs and if you can’t find the song the program also can let you import information from freedb (largest music database on the internet). Best of all this program is free! All you have to do is go to http://www.musicbrainz.org and download the tagger and your set.
I used the Musicbrainz software as mentioned by ys8er2323, and it work fine, only a few left untagged. Now that I use iTunes to rip CDs, it retrieves the tags from CDDB, so I needed to tag all the ones ripped pre-iTunes.
