I’m using AIM 5.5.3415 and I’m also using middle_man 0.2.0011
My buddies that are idle are no longer graying out. I have the option checked in my AIM options. I’ve pretty much tried everything. I’ve reinstalled AIM. I’ve updated AIM. I’ve tried using it without middle_man. I’ve tried using an older version. Nothing seems to work. I can still see how long they have been idle by holding my mouse over thier name. The names used to gray out without a problem then all of a sudden one day they stopped doing it. Anyone else have the same problem? Any ideas how to fix it?
check in your preferences in Buddy List and look at the time that is set to show when someone is idle. make sure its set for like 10 or 20 min and not like 50 min.
or maybe your buddy hasn’t checked the box beside “show how long i’ve been idle” in preferences. Its under the privacy category.
but its ALL of my buddies. I also know for a fact that they have that box checked. I downloaded Trillian and used that for about a day and it had my buddies grayed out, but for some reason AIM won’t do it anymore.
the only suggestion I have would be to upgrade or downgrade to any version that you like. maybe the one you’re using has a bug or something.
