ParticipantI'm so excited! I just got back from watching Resident Evil: Extinction, which was actually good in my opinion, but that's not what got me happy. Before the movie started I got to see the preview to Saw IV which is coming out next month on October 26. I'm a huge Saw fan so I can't wait and just had to mention it. I'm sure some people aren't Saw fans, but I couldn't contain myself, so :).
So this time “If it's Halloween, it must be Saw IV”

ModeratorNessa, I haven't seen the Resident Evil or the Saw films, but I'll take your word for it and check them out soon. Thanks.

ParticipantHey – glad you enjoyed the movie! And I know of your penchant for horror films, so ummm, have fun with that. ๐ฎ I'm patiently waiting for the Bourne Ultimatum to come out on DVD or pay-per-view.

ModeratorHeather, funny you should say that, because I'm just about to watch the Bourne Ultimatum…

I just love horror! No matter how cheesy or “scary” it is. ๐
What got me excited is the whole way they decided to go about making an actual Saw 4:
Story goes…..
Jigsaw and Amanda are dead
but as they are performing an autopsy on his body…..
they open his stomach and find a tape,
which as they play, starts up another game of
previously set traps set by Jigsaw
before he died. The producers are really
good about tying into the other parts of this movie,
so stay tuned for more twists just as there was in part 3.
And I don't need to know much more because
I really want to go watch this one! ๐
I must say, I haven't been looking foward to a movie as much as I for this one. So in the end i won't care if it turns out bad, because it's one of those movies that I just MUST watch.Autopsy Clip *Spoiler*
*now goes on with my life without seeming too obsessed on this movie*

Participanti'm not a fan of Saw (barely made it through the first one — not a horror fan), but Resident Evil Extinction was fantastic.
I'll let you go on with your Saw fantasy though =P

Think they'll make a 4th? I would watch it if they did, especially after watching the ending to this one.

MemberMy Sister really likes the Saw movies.
I've heard there are some moral lessons in the movies, if you “look deep enough”.
I've never seen any of the Saw movies…I think it was partially due to the fact that my Mom freaked when a preview for Saw was on TV, heh. But I do plan on watching them. ๐

ParticipantIs Extinction really that good? I've always been hesitant about seeing the Resident Evil movies because they get such horrible reviews. It also pains me when they take an awesome video game and turn it into a crappy film. ๐
While I've never seen the Saw movies, they certainly look interesting. Again, looking at the reviews, it seems that the sequels get progressively worse. Oh well. Maybe I should just stop relying on metareview sites so much, hahah.
Nessa;223246 wrote:Before the movie started I got to see the preview to Saw IV which is coming out next month…Oh noes. A fourth one? And they use roman numerals?! Is it going to be like the final fantasy games, where eventually it will be “Saw XXXVVVI”? ๐
In all seriousness, I really do love horror movies. They don't really scare me, but I enjoy watching them for their sense of twistedness and eerieness. A couple of weeks ago I rented the uncut edition of The Exorcist and it was really good. I mainly like some of the older horror films, as a lot of the newer ones are cheap, generic and boring (“The Grudge” is an example of a movie that was a complete waste of time for me). Nonetheless, there are still some good ones coming out.

ParticipantJust got back from watching Saw IV and of course I loved it. This movie does require you watching parts I, II, and III before watching it or else it won't make much sense, but it's one of the main reasons I like the Saw series, because they interconnect all the parts. You always learn something new. It may not be the best movie nor scariest, but I wasn't disappointed. ๐

ParticipantIn case anyone looks at this thread I figured I'd redirect them to my new one on Saw V which you can get to if you click on ME.
I like how some of my word usage stayed the same from my last review. ๐

ParticipantSaw a commercial the other day and wondered when you'd post or bump about it :p I won't see the movie, but always like to read your reviews.
