i’ll start by mentioning that i’m a big fan of the show Stargate SG-1 (and now Atlantis)… recently there was an episode where one of the characters gets stuck in a training simulation virtual reality video game. that prompted a conversation with some friends of mine, which i’m now bringing to bbb. that said…
if you were going to be stuck in virtual reality in a video game, but you could pick what game… what would it be? I mean totally immersed in it, not just sitting at your computer playing… we’re talking virtual reality, where you’re in the game. also keep in mind, you cannot get out of the game, once you’re in, you’re in, and no way out. you can choose any game, from any console, from any era (although I dont think you’d want to get stuck in pong, or pacman, etc). i’m interested in what people would pick…. post away.
personally, i’d choose a StarWars game like ‘Jedi Academy’, for obvious reasons of Force ability, lightsabers, insane amounts of technology, you get the idea.
Hmmm… There are soo many great games to be ‘immersed’ in. I would probably choose one of the Tales series games, Final Fantasy series games, or some other great RPG. Magic, swords, and that kind of stuff interest me. 😀
I would choose to stuck in the game “Hitman”…any of the 3 is fine, the 2nd one would be the best.:D…such fun being a Hitman and making money.
Who says you’d be the hitman, maybe you’d be the hit *snicker*
I hear you there, Hurricane. I think that’d be fun, especially something like FF8 or the X2, not X because Sin and all of that crap. Of course…I think that maybe a Harvest Moon game or perhaps even Knights of the Old Republic. Hmmmm…..
I’d be in a PC game that I wrote, that when send the ‘go’ command, it crashes. That way I can get out. …..So theres a geek opinion on it. (Haha, I think I beat the idea of the thread) 😉
yeah that was something I was thinking about too… not that i’d want to get out necessarily, but that I could access extra… *cough* cheats *cough* options. like, oh I dunno, invincibility, invisibility, maximum everything, that sort of thing. kinda like being Neo in the Matrix, being able to control the game because you know its a game
Hmmm…this is a clever topic. I would want to be in Harry Potter, Quidditch. I would like to fly around on a broom stick and play the famous wizard’s game..I might get tired though if I can never get out, but hey that is what time outs and game over are for :p

ok I suppose i’ll revise the idea then… let’s say you’re stuck in the game for… um… how bout a month. or a year. or something like that. as long as its not just for a few hours/days, since we’re pretty much stuck in whatever game we’re playing for that long anyway, right?
RabidKitten, I’m with you… Definitley one of the final fantasy games, but I’m not sure which one… they were all great! Hmmm.. I think I’d narrow it down to 7 or X-2….
(can’t believe nobody said this) Halo. Totally. The army: cool. I wanna join, but Halo takes the army to the extreme and just damn. Or better yet, the way Halo 2 is looking, heh, by far the best game ever…best story too.
Need for Speed Underground.
You can speed as much as you like, your car never gets damaged, an easy cash input, of which you don’t need to spend much. Not much of a storyline, but hey, you get a cool car 😀
