maybe i’ve just missed it entirely, but there’s one thing that I cant seem to figure out how to do on trillian yet (and i’ve had it for probably a good 6 months now).
in AIM, when you double click a screenname from your buddylist, it gives you the option of changing the screenname you’re sending a message to… here’s a screenshot of the IM window from within AIM, the circled part is where you can manually change the screenname.
my question is, how do you do this in trillian (the free version)? the only way I can figure out is that any time I want to IM somebody who’s not on my buddylist, I have to add them and then IM them from my list….. am I just missing something, or is it not there, or what? i’m using the free version of trillian with the aikon2 classic lcd skin…
You click on your AIM connection (usually the icons at the bottom, but can be different depending on the skin) to bring up the menu and there is an option called “Send a message…”
That pops up a box which you can type the screenname into. It then opens up a message window to them.
wow…. like I said, I missed it entirely. sometimes its so easy. thanks
