This isn’t so much of a problem as just a question that I feel is impossible to find an answer to from anyone but an expert.
I was talking to a buddy the other night, and after we were done I did not save their screen name. I do not have a logging program on my computer. Is there any POSSIBLE way that I can get that persons screen name back? (Assuming they dont have it either, and i dont remember a single letter, etc.)
Yes, there is. Go on AIM and press a group name, such as Co-Workers. Then press [Alt] + [O]. There you will see screennames of profiles you previously viewed. You can do the same things for your IM window.
if you havn’t talked to more than ~11 people (screennames) since you talked to the person, you should be able to see the screenname in the drop down list that you find when you type alt+i (People>>Send Instant Message). if you viewed this person’s profile, you can maybe also see their screenname in the drop down list when you type alt+o (People>>Get Buddy Info), as Clobbex said.
i did delete the recent buddies group.
ive also restarted my computer 2 or 3 times since i talked to that person.
i dont know if they have aol or aim cuz i never looked at their profile.
any high tech solutions??? i relly need this!
Well sometimes when you restart your computer and turn off AIM it clears that list I don’t know what to tell you.

thanks a lot every1, relly blows that this couldn’t work, now i have the most impossible task of finding this person.
