If you deleted the entire yahoo folder when you uninstalled the previous version you had without leaving the Profiles folder, Sorry but the archives are gone too. 🙁
In the future, if you want to keep your archives,be sure to move the Profiles folder to a location of your choice (i suggest in the desktop) before deleting the Yahoo! folder in the Program files.
By default the new messenger only saves archives until the end of the sessions. In order to save all messages until you decide to delete them open up the messenger preferences, go into “Archive” and select “Save all my messages on this computer”
Ah, i didn’t know this…I’m happy i didn’t uninstall messenger 6.0 before installing the 7.0 beta….I just went and dled it and never uninstalled 6.0, so that when i started using 7.0 my archive was still there.
