They probably turned in the same answers, so the school wanted to punish someone for it.
But if 146 students are actually discussing chemistry outside of class, then that’s probably 146 students more than if their wasn’t a FB group.
I’d avoid jumping to conclusions like that. I find it hard to believe that 146 people would be dumb enough to all turn in the exact same answers.
I think it’s still just a case of people being afraid of non-conventional media being used for something that’s been very set in tradition for a long time.
