Ok – does anyone else run both YH and WLM at the same time and have contacts from both on both lists? I’ve noticed some odd, inconsistant behaviour lately from interoperability.
I have YH contacts who I can be in voice with, and who show online on YH and not show on WLM, or they had a status set and WLM never seems to get an updated status. Or tonight, a contact came online on YH but was showing offline on WLM until I closed it and re-logged in.
More disturbing was the night I was showing online in YH and I then set my stealth settings to appear offline to everyone and on WLM I was still showing online to my contacts.
My WLM contacts seem to be ok on YH, but my YH contacts don’t seem to be updating reliably on WLM. Sometimes it works ok, and others it doesn’t. I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this same problem??

I use Plus! and have a 3rd party script installed for “Groupblocking” so I can easily block or unblock an entire group of people. It would seem that when this script is enabled something isn’t working correctly.
The only way to get it back to normal is to choose to un-apply the script, log out and back in with it totally off, then all works well. So if I’m gonna run it – it will require applying and un-applying it…not sure that’s worth the hassle.
I really wish WLM would allow users to appear offline to all then selectively choose who to appear online to like YH does. There are so many advantages over blocking (like still getting offlines.) Anyway – just wanted to update on what the problem was – nothing to do with interoperability or YH this time!

Heck, I’ve seen incorrect status even on the SAME IM network (Yahoo) so it’s not a 100% absolutely perfect and reliable system. But it works most of the time, and hey, you get what you pay for, eh?
