I have an iPod Shuffle 512MB and it overheats almost everytime I charge it.
I charge it on a Belkin Portable High-Speed USB Hub, which I plug into my wall outlet. Is it overheating because I am charging it from the Hub? It works normal even when it’s overheated, but this could be causing unknown damages… Is this normal?
I have a 60gb Photo iPod and it overheats when I charge it..I contacted apple they say nothing will happen. it is normal. try charging it with the charger apple gave you.
What do you mean, it overheats? I have a 512MB iPod shuffle also, and it gets quite hot after charging it on the computer for a while, but I thought that was normal. Do you mean, it gets so hot that the iPod actually gets damaged?
If the iPod acts funny after you charge it for a long time, then that’s probably when you should start worrying. Or maybe I’m doing something wrong too.
No, it does not get damaged. It plays fine. I was just wondering if it could cause damage, thats all. 🙂
My iPod Mini gets warm as well, when I charge it via USB. It doesn’t seem to cause any damage.
