I have a sort of complicated question, how does one know if a evidence eliminator is being used on a personal computer? I don’t do anything to worry about this, but think someone is using it to hide their tracks? How could you tell? Or is there a way? Laymans terms please:)
if you see one installed, that is a major clue that there is one running (or has been installed by someone to clear their tracks). check the computer’s “And and remove program files” list.
most modern browsers come with their one cache clearing options. although these files can be recovered it is unlikely that they will unless you act fast.
microsoft windows xp also comes with “Disk Cleanup” which can clear some evidence from microsoft programs.
