MemberI just wondered if AOL was saving the best screenames for paying AOL cutomers, could it be true?

KeymasterNot likely. I have an AOL account and I had the same challenge finding a decent screenname that I had with AIM. Besides, what constitutes a “good” screenname?
On the other hand, they do disallow bad words and have reserved screen names (like names that might be mistaken for an official AOL person).

KeymasterThere are over 100,000,000 people with AIM screen names. Of COURSE all the 4 letter screen names are gone!

ParticipantJeff, where you stated they disallow users to have bad words in their screen names thats untrue. I gave away the screen name f*ckin retard. No I didnt register it with spaces between f*ck, that was a way to gain screen names with bad words in them. I dont know why AOL would change it so where a user can make a screen name with bad words in it. I just know I registered a screen name with bad words.

KeymasterMy bad… or is it AOL’s bad? Anyhow, thanks for clearing that up, LivesNabox.
Ummm…. why on earth would you want to be known on AIM as f*ckin retard??
