Okay, I’m sure many of you have seen Shrek’s posts in Off-Topic. Now, I can completely understand you know finding something funny on the internet and posting it here, however finding like two things a day or so all from GigglePedia which most of aren’t funny and are quite sexist. So I’ve been thinking of possibly PMing him about it or something just because honestly it bugs me that he does this all the time. What do you guys/gals think?
I tend to agree with you, Ryan. I found some of his posts amusing at first, but as he continued, the jokes weren’t so funny anymore and some of them were downright lewd. Not too suitable for a forum like BBB, I believe.
I’d say, go ahead and PM him about this. Thanks for bringing this up.
You can’t tell him to stop posting these jokes altogether just because you don’t find them funny, but you can ask him to tone down the sexual references. Even though he may believe he’s serving to a mature audience, we still have those who are sensitive.

But, hey, isn’t Gigglepedia something he “runs” or has a vested interest in? I agree . . . some of the stuff is funny, but some is icky – and it is definitely promoting that website . . . which isn’t wrong, but this isn’t exactly the best forum for drumming up business.
It’s good to have some off topic, silly stuff posted as it lends personality to the forum, but every day, from the same source, I don’t know . . . for me it gets boring, but he could be one of those folks who see it as their “mission” to lighten up an otherwise bad-news laden world.
To answer your question tho, yeah – a PM would be fine. Things to mention would be sensitivity to the demographics of this site and variety in sources. If you need help, Ryan . . . just come downstairs 😉
I think I’m going to PM him and going to tell him to tone it down a little bit.
I know I can’t just say “stop posting” which is why I asked your peoples’ opinions on what to say.
Yeah, we don’t want to chase him away with a broom… just encourage him to do more than repost lame jokes from his own site.

Ohhhh, so I’m not the only one that is getting offended from the constant male sexist connotations towards women? Good! In all honesty, I hate it and do have a problem with the member…I’m not saying that these “jokes” aren’t funny at times because they are and I do happen to agree with them at times. Yea, being a woman and having to constantly deal with the likes of this- essentially being two faced- really PO’s me.
