Is it (reasonably) possible to load a version of Messenger on a flash (thumb) drive? Is there an older version (or other interface such as Trillion)that does not have all the functionality of the newer, but will run as a stand alone application from a flash drive? For those times where you have an internet connection, but Java is disabled on the machine and Yahoo Messenger is not loaded?
Well I know with Trillian you can install it in any type of portable media and take it anywhere with you, meaning you’ll be able to connect to yahoo as long as there’s an internet connection. Perhaps you can try this: Trillian Anywhere
