I downloaded Trillian NetDetect from various sources, all of which had various problems. The one I settled on gives the Microsoft “This program [Trillian.exe] has experienced an error and will be shut down.” message every time you disconnect from the Internet.
Evidently, someone who THINKS he’s a programmer threw something together, and this is the best he can come up with. Is there one that actually WORKS, like Odigo’s and ICQ’s NetDetect?
Seems like most of the netdetect agents written for Trillian have problems shutting it down cleanly. Check out NetRun. It supposedly plays well with Trillian, including shutting it down when you go offline, and it also can be used to run other applications on connect. And it’s free! 🙂
