in the past couple of years, facebook and twitter have been booming beyond anyone’s expectations.
anyone think there’s going to be a next big thing? the innovation is endlessl.

We may not see the waves as before (e.g. myspace went from being huge to oblivian in a span of a few short years), but we’ll definitely see a lot of innovation in this space over the next decade. I’m not sure whether Facebook or Twitter will mortph or go away, but new ideas like Color (Color – photo sharing based on location) are sure to be huge eventually.

In fact, as companies grow to a certain size, innovation often becomes more difficult and sentiment can begin to turn against the incumbent.
I’m curious to hear what you think social media might look like in the future. Ideas?

I think it’s cool if either A) you’re in a place where a lot of other Color users either are now (like a big conference) or B) where a lot of people HAVE been (like a popular venue where people would take lots of pics).
The trouble for Color is gaining that initial traction. Until there other other photos, it’s pretty dull, boring and well, colorless.
My $0.02 worth.

The ideal places for forming social groups are schools, colleges, universities or offices. These people share a lot of things in common and hence this place is perfect for exchanging information related to various topics and issues.
Online social networking is quite popular and websites are generally used for this purpose. In fact social networking websites function like an online community sharing common interests like hobbies, religion, politics and even business.
