I was just wondering if there was any way to get my purchased music from iTunes into my Windows Media Player Library (without the burning and ripping into mp3 process)… I have tried adding the folders.. but it doesn’t work. Thanks in advance for the help.
There are several different ways to add music files into windows media player. I am sorry to say that I have never purchased music through iTunes so I am not certain which method will work exactly, but there is a way to do it. Open windows media player/ click on help/help topics and then click on the index tab. Scroll down to “adding files” and then select “to media library.” In the window on the right, there will now be a list of several different techniques for adding files to your list. I hope this info helps.
I have just found out that Windows Media Player doesn’t support the AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) fromat that the iTunes songs are compressed in so I guess what I am looking for now is a [preferibly small] media player that supports mp3 wma and m4p and AAC.
You could get Winamp, either the free version or for 14.95 you can get “Pro”.

Then in order to be able to play m4ps, you just need a little plug-in that can be found here.

Then, if you just wanted to continue to use Windows Media Player, you could simply convert your M4P’s to other formats. Check this topic out to figure out how to do that.
Hey, mrblonde608 thanks for that winamp link it was exactly what I was looking for.
