MemberWhich PC-music-player is better? If you haven’t used both, and have only used one, don’t post. If you have reasons for feeling one over the other let me know.

MemberI like winamp better. Better sound quality, skins, and it loads up faster, and a bunch of other things, the list goes on. And this comes from a guy who chooses AIM over Trillian and IE over Firefox. It really is a great program.

MemberI’ve used both and I like iTunes better. WinAmp is a really beefy program but it has so much I get lost. iTunes has some great features and it’s simple to use. The interface is really nice. It seems like I have to orient myself to WinAmp everytime I open it which is a pain.

MemberI prefer winamp. Ive been using it forever so the interface isnt hard to navigate and I know where everything is. iTunes is kind of bloated for a media player in my opinion. It would use about 30 mb while just sitting there.
Also, shoutcast is a big plus for winamp. There arent many iTunes stations. Winamp also has a huge amount of skins and plugins.

MemberI perfer iTunes if I want to easily organize and rename my music, but I would probably choose WinAMP over iTunes as a skinnable player.

MemberI usually use Winamp, but I just recently downloaded an extension for Firefox that let’s you control your media player through your browser, and since iTunes can ‘hide’, I use that now. I’d still have to say I prefer Winamp though. Very easy to use.

You can use a Broswer Extention for Winamp. It’s called FoxyTunes. You can use it with iTiunes, Winamp, Foobar2000, etc.

You might not have seen the “browse” feature. If you turn it on it changes the interface and shows you how your music is organized by genre, artist, and album. You can also organize by playlists and smart playlists.

MemberItunes for me. I don’t know, its mac, and I like it. I have always been a fan of the OSX I-face. I originally didn’t use it because it was so big, but then the feature that allowed you to minimize Itunes to the system tray was added, and I went back to using it. I don’t like organizing my music and having to go to a folder to play it, and Itune’s default look is a media library, which makes it easy to switch between songs. Another thing that comes in handy; If I ever hear a song is good, I can go straight to the Itunes music store and preview / buy it if I want. Very convient.
