MemberOk, so I made several names for yahoo, hoping it would prevent me from being found by a stalker, but somehow he knows. How is this possible? Is there anyway of finding out your other profiles if the person knows your main account name?

ParticipantNo there isn’t (unless I’m missing something?). Why not just block his ID? You really ought to report this guy to Yahoo if he’s harrasing or stalking you…

MemberReport him I did, and strangely after that I was unable to sign on for days. I have also blocked him several times, but like myself he goes under several different names, and finds me somehow. I guess the only solution is to make a new account alltogether..if that even works.
But thanks for your inputDecember 31, 2002 at 7:01 pm #98932gaz_berotten
MemberFirstly you can fight back heres how
Download an i.p sniffer and get his i.p
Trace his i.p so you can get his care reps contact info
He is finding you as he has a program installed that keeps an eye on your i.p which will then tell him your i.p. If your on line and your new user i.d.
The best thing to do is give out his i.p when he is in the same room as you then hell think if hes not using an i.p changer.
If you want to trace his i.p emial me @ gwillmer@hotmail.com and i will send you the programe to do it. If these things do not work contact me on yahoo messenger and i will scare the prick away my i.d is gaz_berotten:rolleyes:

MemberInteresting. Gaz you mention an “i.p. changer” where do you get one and does it work?

MemberGaz, I do not think your way of “fighting back” will do you any good. My advice to pigstails_n_roseycheeks:
Collect all of this person’s member ID’s and email them here: http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/mesg/cgi_abuse
If you find his IP, what are you going to do? Email his ISP, I doubt they will do much.

But thanks for your inputHave you considered the possibility that you could have been “trojaned”. That would say that your computer may have been infected by a malicious piece of code that open the ports of your machine and allow anyone who has your IP address to come into your PC
Those malicious pieces of progz are called “trojan horses” (like the greek mythology). You could have been infected when you downloaded and launched a software or an executable (most of the time, they come in attachments, in emails).
Some trojans once they are in a machine can disable anti-virus and firewalls. Some can even send your IP address every time you connect to internet to certain persons. They become able to remote-control your PC, steal your passwords, “listen” everything you type on your keyboard, etc….
How can you verify whether you’re “trojaned” or not. Here are some links of anti-trojan software :

MemberHere is my guess as to what’s going on. Your stalker knows that your first yahoo name and then you created different names using the same account? If so, all he has to do is go to Messenger “join user in chat” type in your original screen name and he will be taken to whatever room you are chatting in. It doesn’t matter that you are using a different name while chatting if you keep using the account associated with the original login. I just had an ex-gf find me this way…lol. What you can do is just create an entirely new account that is no way associated with the first nick he is familiar with. Now there is a chance that you have a trojan or your machine has been compromised which would be more serious and should be checked into thoroughly.
