I’ve got big problems

at my dads house we have dsl and aim 5.5 and every 10 minutes on aim it kicks me off and reconnects me. this is really annoying when your trying to talk to people. so what could it be? and how can I fix it?

I am no aim expert but my thoughts would be with the connection preferences. Check to see what the connection is set to or just try and auto configure it and see if that helps. Could be the connection is not set up right!

If you have a firewall you may want to check that, sometimes it dose not show you the window for allowing or denying the program and it automatically shuts it down.
