Yahoo! Messenger 6 review? under tips and tricks?
December 28, 2006 at 12:48 am #156095detn8rParticipantIf you’re willing to sit down and write up some things for the Yahoo Centre, I’m sure Vanessa would be greatful! The IM Centre’s are hurting but if we can find people like you who care enough, we can get them into shape!
Post any ideas you have, and we’ll make em into reality!
December 28, 2006 at 1:00 am #156084Jeff HesterKeymasterI have been trying to get Vanessa to make changes!
I did however get vanessa to make a a bunch of posts in the Yahoo FAQ for example:
“Can I view somones webcam without permission?”
“Can I add somones ID Without permission?”How many people have asked these questions? It takes me to request a post in the FAQ?
Your right nobody cares.I have been trying to get vanessa to make the following upgrade changes to submit your favorite programs for a few days.
In the “submit your favorite program thread”. the “Yahoo! Messenger 7 Polygamy (multi-yahoo)” post should be changed to:
“Y!Messenger 8.0 Multi-Yahoo Patch”
and the link is
ShiftThis.net » Y!Messenger 8.0 Multi PatchSince messenger 7 is old and most people use 8.0 or higher now. shifter made both programs so why not post his new one.
I recommend for tips and trips instead of Yahoo messenger 6 review how about any of the following:
Yahoo! Messenger 8 review
Yahoo! Messenger FAQ
Yahoo! Phishing
Support for YTK Pro, and/or Ytunnel, and/or Tims Ad Banner RemoverDecember 28, 2006 at 1:18 am #156096detn8rParticipantThose are great ideas! Unfortunately, Vanessa (and the rest of the staff) do not have access to change anything in the Centres. Jeff (the administrator) has to. And, to make things more efficient, if you are willing to write reviews and change the outlook of how the centre looks, post more ideas and we’ll compile them up!
December 28, 2006 at 1:23 am #156085Jeff HesterKeymasterI did give some ideas. He could even just delete the Yahoo messenger 6 review post.
What about the submit your favorite program the staff can edit that thread?

ShiftThis.net » Y!Messenger 8.0 Multi PatchHey now….. I do have a life (even if you find that hard to believe). I know you have sent me endless PM’s and IM’s about this and even to the point of putting it in your signature. I was even nice enough to explain my situation about someone crashing into my car on Christmas and trying to flee the scene. I am now in the process of getting my car repairs settled (thankfully) and when i come on-line i don’t have time to fulfill all your requests. I also have friends to catch up with and especially now during the holidays a lot of other stuff comes first. I seriously do care about BBB or else i wouldn’t help out as much as i do. So when you say that i don’t care, that really strikes a cord here. When other people make suggestions i comply in given time, and i have complied to most of yours, but i will not do everything that you desire, since i will not approve of everything you say.
I’m sorry to have to word this like this but since you want to post about how i am not making all your changes, well then i’m going to post about the one million requests you have per day. 😡
Now i will get around to any requests submitted to me when i get an appropriate chance to do so, and that meaning i’ll do a good job at it and not do it quickly just because you want it already…..
With that said….. The FAQ will be given a full update AFTER the holidays, and i will definately look into the review writing for the newest Yahoo! Messenger, unless somebody else wants to jump gun right now. Any other major changes will also be done after the holidays, especially since New Year’s is a big thing in my family since it’s my birthday, so i’m not going to respond in a timely manner during this time.
And as always, feel free to e-mail any suggestions to me at [email protected] or PM here on the fourms.
Thanks.
December 28, 2006 at 2:42 am #156086Jeff HesterKeymasterI am not really saying you do not care. Just these posts that are made by the staff still in place from Yahoo messenger 6 or programs in threads for messenger 7. Yeah they are little things but their were so many, like 3 posts in the favorite programs thread that had a broken link or something like that.
or even in the Yahoo IM download section their was Yahoo Messenger 7 but Yahoo Messenger 8 was not their. and even a few broken links that was in the Yahoo IM downloads.December 28, 2006 at 4:27 am #156087Jeff HesterKeymasterAlso the Yahoo! Smiley Reference has no new Smileys created in the last three years.

I will gladly accept and post them, with proper credit. If you’ve written something you’d like to put up there, let the Team Leader know and we can make it happen.
December 28, 2006 at 5:28 am #156088Jeff HesterKeymasterWhat should I use to write a post? private messege or a file? if file what format?
December 28, 2006 at 7:02 am #156094Jeff HesterKeymasterYou can post a regular topic, but add a note saying something like “Hey, I think this would make an excellent resource in the Yahoo! Center. Can someone take a look and stick it in there (if appropriate)?” If the file has more complex HTML stuff like tables with lots of itty bitty graphics or something, then we probably need to find another way.
You could always use Word or something and attach it to your post, but then it’s a bit more work stripping out all the junk that Microsoft adds. As a general rule, the less formatting the better.
Bottom line? I don’t really care how you share it, as long as you’re sharing. We’ll find a way to get it into the right format.

Just copy and paist the the info from the txt file to the post.
I am not going to say anything else about updateing the Yahoo! Community Center. Its up to you if you don’t.
The pictures and emote info I posted was the hard part it took me about 6 hours. I would make a post with the emots but members are limited to 20 images, and there is about 90
