MemberHere is my contribution…
Go to your nearest Trader Joe´s (just cause I am sure you will find it there), get some italian bread, not ciapata, but those large round brown breads and ask them to slice it in thick slices (2 cm). Put them in the oven alone until they are brownish on top.
Then take garlic, peal it and rub it on top of the slice, just rub it, and then save it for the next slide. Cut a tomato in two pieces, grab one and rub it so the bread will be reddish, put the tomato away.
Now be generous with the olive oil on top and add some salt.
Get some italian or spanish ham (Prosciutto o “Jamon Serrano”, you are not going to find the latest in a supermarket, but there are some shops where they sell it), put in on top (it is important that you don´t put it in the oven, or it will become dry and salty).
Then roast some thin green asparagus with a little bit of olive oil, and add them on top of the ham.
Two of those toasts and a bottle of spanish red wine (Try “Marques de Caceres” again at Trader) will make a great and easy starter. As for the cheese is better if you put in on the side, for example “Manchego”.
Hope you try it and give me feedback.

MemberSounds awesome Science…When my tomatos are ready every summer I make a sandwich with sourdough bread cut in half and toasted. Slice vine ripe tomatos on top and drip olive oil over and salt and pepper. My mouth is watering at just the thought…lol But I will try your sandwich…it sounds so yummy…:D
