MemberI’m working on a list of the latest versions of IM programs that will go in the sidebar on the New BBB. Here’s the work in progress.
AIM/AOL Messenger 6.8 10/21/2008 Digsby Build 20382 2/16/2009 Google Talk 1.0.0.104 1/1/2007 ICQ 6.5.0.1005 12/17/2008 Skype 4.0.0.206 1/29/2009 Trillian 3.1.12 11/26/2008 Windows Live Messenger 2009 Build 14.0.8064.206 2/6/2009 Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2128 2/4/2009
I’m thinking this will link to a page with a more complete list, including the “off brand” IM, other operating system, etc. Any suggestions on IM programs to include?February 22, 2009 at 8:45 pm #173316imported_Ven0m
MemberYahoo! Messenger v9.0.0.2133 is the latest right now (but it’s not “officially” out). Expect v9.0.0.2134 or higher soon.

MemberOk, I’ve added the “latest IM versions” to the sidebar on the “new” BigBlueBall. Check it out: BigBlueBall

I’m just posting whatever version is currently available for public download, for now.

Thanks, Ven0m! I’ve updated both the sidebar and the main listing. I’m in the process of doing some tweaking on that main listing, and I’d like to include a link to a BBB overview on each, as well as a link to the appropriate BBB support forum. Take a look and leave a comment:

MemberOk, I’ve got the IM client page pretty well firmed up.
I still need some help on two areas:
1. The mobile section. There are so MANY versions, for so many mobile OS that it would be very, very impractical to list them all. But what do we list instead? And what do we link to? Need suggestions, please!
2. The web messengers. I’d like to create a separate page for all the many web messengers (Meebo, eBuddy, etc.). Anyone want to help start a list of them here? What would we show on the page, other that a logo and a link? Maybe some idea of the features supported? Your thoughts are appreciated, as always. 🙂
