I downloaded the new version of yahoo messenger last weekend and it worked fine. But since yesterday it will not work. Yesterday I got an error 14 message so I reinstalled windows media player. Today I get an error saying service error and so I hit retry and get and error saying:
” An error has occured in the script on this page
Line: 111
Char: 2
Error: object doesnt support this property or method
Code: 0
Url: http://radio.launch.yahoo.com/radio/clientdata/515/player.asp?cid=515&iid=1&p=0&m=0&d=0Would you like to continue running scripts on this page?
Yes No”
I have the latest version of YM
Any help? Thanks so much!

MemberDo you use Norton at all, there are issues with its ad blocking, it edits or removes the script to remove what it thinks its an ad, its just poor text matching.

MemberI have it up. But when I open that it says “Nortan AntiVirus has encountered an internal program error. Could it be the brower I am using MyIE2. I diabled the pop-up blocker. could it be that?
I forgot to say. After I hit yes, it says connecting to the channel……but never starts.

MemberThe internal Norton Ad Blocker blocks strings like ad _ad ad_ ad. etc… now some of Yahoo!s script have expressions like something._addition and norton just sees the _ad. So it strips it out of the script, making the script nonsense.
I can’t say why Norton is crashing, and I have not used MyIE2 myself, maybe try disabling Norton before you open Messenger?

2. Select the version from the drop-down box that corresponds to your

@ Critical Update for Windows Media Player Script Commands (KB828026)After Downloading windows media player , go to Tools > Options> Security> content :
uncheck : run script commands when present
check: Do not run script commands and blah blah blah…By now you would be ready to sing with your messenger.

Have you Downloaded the Latest Flash Software ? this can come into play. You must make sure you have updated your Flash Player you can do this by visiting http://www.macromedia.com
Also try a Reinstallation but when you unistall go into RegEdit by typing this in Run and remove anything you can find of Yahoo or LaunchCast I hope this helps!

MemberI had the exact same problem… re-installed and it seems to be gone now! Also make sure your script error checking and reporting is off in the IE options and you dont have any adware/spyware (use Spybot or something)

MemberI assume that you have all the basic requirements
for yahoo messenger 6.I think you should delete the temporary files.
In Internet explorer > tools > options > general >delete files.
also on the general page click settings >select “every visit to the page”
I think you have a stale page in your cache. that should solve it.If I doesnt then ,
Contact Launch feedback:
I got excellent service from them
They reply really quick.
try it . -
