I use the free version of Trillian. Whenever I get an e-mail on either my hotmail or yahoo account it notifies me, but when I click on the mail icon to check the mail nothing happens. This is a minor annoyance as I can just as easily check the mail the standard way, but it is annoying none-the-less. Should I reinstall? Did I accidently choose some odd selection in Trillian to disable this? Thanks.
January 19, 2003 at 9:53 pm #64874TonyMemberI am not sure about Trillian 0.74, but in Trillian Pro 1.0 there is a setting to disable this.
In Pro, the setting is in MSN -> Account Preferences… -> Miscellaneous -> Mail
Hope this helps!
January 20, 2003 at 6:47 pm #64878magistykMemberWhat version of Trillian are you running?
January 20, 2003 at 7:40 pm #64882FreddieMember.74 which does not have the option Tony described. So I guess I should reinstall, but that is too much of a pain for a minor annoyance. i will live with it.
January 20, 2003 at 8:22 pm #64877magistykMemberTry clearing all your cookies and such. That might be a problem there.
January 21, 2003 at 8:52 pm #64881FreddieMemberNah, it wasn’t the cookies. But thanks for reminding me to get rid of my cookies.
January 21, 2003 at 9:26 pm #64876magistykMemberThis was working for me fine in .74, I don’t know what the problem could be. Try the Trillian forums on their site.
January 21, 2003 at 10:00 pm #64879PhilMemberPerhaps it is a problem external to trillian…something wrong with your PC…because i used to have problems where i would try to open links and it wouldnt work….i dont know if it would affect you but i run norton win doctor and disk doctor every week and it clears out all the mess and sorts out any registry problems…maybe this may clear it up for you!
February 5, 2003 at 12:16 pm #64880FreddieMemberPhil was correct. It works now, after rebooting. I have a conflict somewhere. When I have some time I will correct it. LONG LIVE TRILLIAN!
