I noticed this in the AIM FAQ section, where each section of questions has a separate post, and the topmost post has links to each one. when clicking any one of the main navigation links (Installation/Screennames, Buddylist, Messaging, etc), it should go to the appropriate post.
problem is, even though the links are correct, it’s displaying the incorrect post. Say you click the Messaging link, it should take you to https://bigblueball.com/forums/187819-post4.html (post4). However, it actually goes to the Buddylist post, which is post3. Weird thing is, it still displays in the URL bar as post4.
EDIT. If you click the “messaging” link above, it goes to the incorrect post. if you click the actual link, it goes to the correct post.
Actually, when I clicked your “messaging” link, it DID go to post #4.
no… that’s just it. post4 is supposed to be the post about messaging. when you click the “messaging” link above, it goes to the buddylist post.
Would it have anything to do with your “Messaging” link having a thread ID of “187818”, but the actual link’s thread ID is “187819”?
hmm. Spike… you’re a genius. I hate you. =P
i dont know what I was thinking when i did those links. “bug” squashed i guess. grr.
