MemberWhen ever I sign on to my windows XP screen name, I get an error saying that Loader.exe has encountered problems and needs to close.
Here are some pictures of my error, I hope they help, and sorry if it loads slowly, angelfire has one of those viruses going around, and I would not be supprised if it does not work at all.

I don’t know what is wrong with it, I don’t have any trouble with auto loading programs like Aim when I sign on, and I have not modified anything lately.August 20, 2003 at 10:52 pm #56775ShadowSlayer469
MemberSorry, looks like angelfire won’t let me upload images, you are going to have to go with what you’ve got right now.

Looks like railway forums do not work due to the same virus that angelfire has, thanks anyways Dave.
Images work properly now. Thanks Dave. (Cool site!)August 21, 2003 at 12:15 pm #56762rustedtight

ParticipantCan you start up loader.exe via the Run prompt? I think it’s in the System32 but not sure.

Nope, I did a search and its under “C:ProgramFilesClearSearchLoader.exe” but it wont run, I get the same error as I do when I sign on.
I did a search through RegEdit and found nothing.August 21, 2003 at 9:48 pm #56764David

it = both? you NEED both
also hell, look in Add/Remove programs for it and you could try to just delete the folder…
and shut it off in MSCONFIG (Enter MSCONFIG at the Run prompt)August 22, 2003 at 9:20 pm #56770ShadowSlayer469
MemberI used both programs but it did nothing, but I re-installed loader.exe from microsoft.com and it works now.

MemberNow do you see the importance of running anti-adware software after each install?

Memberloader.exe is a ‘malware’ program. (NOT from MS) It hijacks your browser and attempts to connect to ‘fastwebfinder’.
(it loads itself as a process…sometimes more than once) DELETE it everytime it shows up.Spywareinfo.com have confirmed this; and have added it (last week) to ‘hijackthis.zip’
