I have so many probelms with AIM and really need some help.
1) Ok I direct connect with someone and they send me a picture I can not see it it comes up as a blank message (i.e Screenname: ) but the other user can see it.
2)My computer hates the new AIM I got the brand new AIM and I can open it and look at my buddy list fine but as soon as I open an instant message box is freezes.
3) so I backed up to an older AIM but went back to far I got 5.5.3501 and am looking for a site to get a little newer one.
4(finally when I talk to some users, I think any one on AOL my AIM also hates them. this is kinda hard to explain but I will try. OK if they send two messages my AIM freezes. Unless I close out of the convo before the second messgae is sent.
So my convos go like this
Me: Hi
Them:Hi
Them : Whats up – AIM freezes right here
or like this
Me: Hi
THem :Hi – I close out of window right after this
Them: whats upOk. Here I go.
For 1 do you have something called Smiley Central on your computer? It is kown to cause problems with Direct Connect (I’ve had the problem)
For 2 and 3 go to http://www.oldversion.com
For 4 do you have this problem with every person using AOL on your buddy list?

Note: your AIM does not “hate” stuff it’s just a messed up program…
