October 20, 2005 at 12:12 am #132007Jeff HesterKeymasterInteresting…How many pages does this magazine consist of and how frequently do issues get made? I can’t think of much that Google would have to keep talking about.
October 20, 2005 at 1:21 am #132008Jeff HesterKeymaster157 pages. Sorry no idea how often
October 20, 2005 at 1:29 am #132012SpikeMemberTopic Moved. Reason: This doesn’t relate to Google Talk, it’s more of a general computer/internet happening, so I moved it to the general computer room. (Yes, we do non-help related topics, here, too.)
October 20, 2005 at 1:35 am #132010Jeff HesterKeymasterNeat find, Amy. What are your impressions? It seems like a bit of a stretch to have a regular magazine about Goggle alone.
October 20, 2005 at 1:36 am #132013DrBroccoliParticipantSo is this basically a magazine to show what Google has done? A magazine for the computer illiterate to see what’s happening on the bottom of google.com everyday (the little announcements, when the release something new).
October 20, 2005 at 2:17 am #132009Jeff HesterKeymasterI found it to be interesting in a lot of respects. There are a lot less ads than the popular science magazine I get. Which is a refreshing break! And there is a lot more than just what you see on the cover. I’m still reading.
I’m shocked that apparently there is enough to write as many magazines as they have already. I knew google was up to a lot due to the fact they were on the news not to long ago with the ideas that they are up to. Like how they want to index videos like they do images.
October 20, 2005 at 3:20 am #132011Jeff HesterKeymasterThere are entire books discussing Google — I’ve read one of them (Google Hacks). There’s a lot more than what most people realize, and other forms of media (books, magazines) will reach people that might not otherwise learn about those things.
I suppose that things will only accelerate for Google as they grow and generate more capital. If there can be entire websites devoted to Google-watching, why not a magazine?
