does anyone have the program called MethAmp? its a program that displays your current song being played in winamp to your status in ym…it also integrate its menus in ym…i lost my copy when i reformatted my pc:crying: i tried to look for it but to no avail…if anyone have it pls show me where i can get it…thanks!

Does it open for you? When I try to open it, it opens then closes very quickly. Does it just install a plugin to Winamp, or what? It used to work for me, but this newer version doesn't.

If you want a Launchcast style status (It makes it appear your using Launchcast), add this little packet after your formatting in the settings À€187À€2 (Example: %TÀ€187À€2) without any spaces before or after the status or else it won't work (Example 2: Nirvana – Heart-Shaped BoxÀ€187À€2) and will achieve A Launchcast style status. I'm hoping to make a plugin just like the Y!MS Status Changer plugin that has the Launchcast functionability as an option… Or if anybody wants to make a plugin like the Y!MS Status Changer and add the Launchcast option… it would be very good. 🙂
Does it show up in the general purpose winamp preferences as Methamp or something else? I can't figure out what's going on.:crying:

Yeah same for me, I'll try to find an older version. I hexed-edited it to make sure it wasn't a malicious file…but it isn't, it has all the coding for it to be Methamp. Not sure why it's doing that, but let me check to see if I can't find an older version.

It needed some files that came with it in a .zip, and since it couldn't find them, it just closed back up. I deleted the old version and put up the working, just make sure you extract it from the .zip before trying to run it.

Sorry about those errors, guys. It really shouldn't have been doing all that, but yeah, just put all the correct files into the same folder, it'll run nice and good for you.
In case you're wondering, my name's Ryan, I wrote MethAmp.
I honestly didn't think anyone used the thing, especially since I took my site down and stopped working on it back in November.I had plans to write methamp3, but started working full time and lost track, really.
What would really be helpful is if you (and anyone else who uses MethAmp) could give me some feedback on it. I was just talking to a friend of mine who told me I should write a new version, and with the options I had planned for MethAmp it would be a killer release.

I dont use Methamp but i do use WA2Y Winamp Yahoo! Messenger plugin that works with all Messengers including new Beta.

I wouldn't mind putting MethAmp2 back onto the market if you would host it, as I don't have hosting space at the moment. Just let me know.
As for a 3rd version to MethAmp, I've decided to start writing it, actually.
One of the key things I hope to implement is not only the standard YIM options MethAmp has had, but MSN Messenger options aswell. Not to mention updates on all of the current options and many more to come.
Again I'd like to encourage anyone with a keyboard and opinion to send me a line or two using the options provided in my previous post. I look forward to working on MethAmp (which will likely be renamed, which would make it a 1st version wouldn't it? :P) and hopefully you'll enjoy it aswell.
And Jeff, if you have the time, I wouldn't mind speaking with you in a more convorsation friendly method?

What do you mean? Logged into two different names on Yahoo! at the same time?
This messes with the registery data and screws up the way the plugin you're using works.

I second that!tried many Winamp Yahoo! plugins but this one i find is the best as it doesnt come with that annoying “be cool instantly” link and such, it doesnt use all my status message space either and you can enable it or disable it as you please 🙂
