i did store the emoticons and everything, but reloading them?? YEESH. that could take a day or so.
and also i made ONE new user on my msn after i reloaded everythin back and POOF all gone again.
the reason i made this is to show the world how retarded msn is and how they should allow ppl to live in peace rather than every1 having to reload everything everyday of their everyday lives. i could seriousely make a living of reloading my stuff back. and by now, all of the information about how many emoticons i downloaded has now doubled and it’s becomes a pain in the @$*Have a great day!;)

I mean if you hate MSN that much, why do you bother to use it?
I’m a very happy user of MSN Messenger, doesn’t matter what version it is. I can live without AIM, Yahoo & ICQ but MSN!🙂Now you know, that the world loves MSN more than you hate it, because everyone don’t use custom emoticons, and all that complicated stuff. 😉
And by the way, its your own fault for not saving the emoticons in a more safe place like MY DOCUMENTS!
June 23, 2003 at 6:47 pm #94549loser_kidMembermore than 20,000,000 people use msn and it works but i am not saying that it it always work……every problem is fixable…..but that only counts for real life not computers.

your own fault for not saving the emoticons in a more safe place like MY DOCUMENTS!as a matter of fact i DID save them in My Documents and that helped none. i still have to reload everything every morning to get things back and working.
ne1 have ideas of how to make this problem go away so i don’t have to reload everything everday???
thnx a bunch (sorry for being so annoying and retarded and mean and all that)
MarsBarr:DJune 23, 2003 at 7:18 pm #94543FaizanMemberJust put copy’n’paste them to where they would load automatically!
I’m not sure about XP but for Win98SE etc, copy and paste (don’t move them) to:
C:WINDOWSApplication DataMicrosoftMSN [email protected]This might solve your problem!
Just give it a try and tell us if it works… Because thats only my guess, not really sure about it!June 23, 2003 at 7:24 pm #94545DJHyperbyteMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by loser_kidevery problem is fixable…..but that only counts for real life not computers.
I really hope you meant that the other way around. 😉
June 23, 2003 at 7:29 pm #94556MarsBarrMemberfaizen i’m running on win98 and this may sounds nuts but when i got through to c:/, there isn’t a Windows file! There’s a WINNT file, but when i went there, there was no application data file. HELP!:(
June 23, 2003 at 9:17 pm #94542FaizanMemberAre you on a shared computer with different user accounts in?
By the way, I can read, no need to put your font that big:D J/K
June 23, 2003 at 9:21 pm #94555MarsBarrMemberlol sorry about the font size i was just testing out how big it would be (remember i’m a bigballNEWBIE lol)
neways, yes this computer is shared by different users, and as far as I know i’m on the Administrator Account. Help any?[/b]June 23, 2003 at 9:33 pm #94541FaizanMemberHmmm Are you sure that you’re on the Admin Area?
Try going to Start > Find > Files or Folders >
And type in Application Data, you will probably find it.
On my school’s network, its in my documents area, but it will obviously not be there on yours. I dunno why the hell my school’s put that in there….
Anyway, just search for it and if you don;t find it, i’ll get a professional to help you. 😀Yes DavidA I am talking about you;)
June 23, 2003 at 10:13 pm #94554MarsBarrMemberu know what’s weird? the application data was in the Documents and Settings/Administrator folder… hmm… lol. well, thanx Faizan, u rule, remember dat! lol. man u rule…
June 23, 2003 at 10:26 pm #94540FaizanMemberOh, but i never use network and all that stuff at home. I only use it in school in IT lessons or sometime in lunch time:)
Glad to see that your problem has been solved:DBy the way, in the future make sure you put a more attractive subjec line, because it attracts people to read the topic, you could have put “Lost my custom emoticons” for example. And believe me, you will get your answer sooner than you can get with subject line like: “Help me.”
Remember? “First impression is the last impression” 😉
Its just a suggestion!:)June 23, 2003 at 10:31 pm #94553MarsBarrMemberwell faizan, you could say my problem is done… ahh.. umm. sorta..
see, i have just recently added a new custom emoticon and tested it out. i put it in the folder then restarted msn.
it didn’t work.
i see why.
i think it’s cause when i just simply PLACE the emoticon there, i don’t give it a code,
(i.e: [X-(] ) and that’s y its not working. but it IS working for the display picture and backgrounds, however.
Help???June 23, 2003 at 10:40 pm #94539FaizanMemberIf you know the answer, what’s the point of asking for HELP??? again:D

June 23, 2003 at 10:44 pm #94552MarsBarrMemberbut the question here is HOW? how do i put the code in if it doesn’t work?
i’m seriousely giving myself a headache… either cause of thinking, or becauseof scratching it so hard….:(
