ok, Im the one that lost my smilies, tried all I could to get them back.. so, I uninstalled then reinstalled messenger… Now I cant log on at ALL… I log on the cute yellow smiley face bounces but then just stays like that..nothing more, like its trying but cant.. HELP ..thanks!!

I know you are new here, but please try to make your titles more descriptive so people don’t ignore you. You have a very legitimate question but many people may pass over it b/c of the title. That said (or written) did you change any of your settings or not close your messenger completely when you re-installed??
Im sorry Oreo..you are right! Not the right title.. I dont recall exactly what I did to tell you the truth! whoops 🙁
Ok. What you might want to do is uninstall again, make sure ALL of the messenger is gone and not running. Install, restart and try it again.
You should also remove all registry entries related to Yahoo Messenger, I provide a method on how to safely do this here:
Thanks Oreo 😉 and others!! I did what you said but NOW when I try it says I have an invalid cookie.. I checked out all my settings and I accept cookies etc.. anymore help appreciated!! Thanks!!!!
