I’m using IM at work (but not for work), where others are close by. I don’t want to draw colleagues attention by windows popping up or flashing taskbar entries.
So, what google talk/xmpp client for WinXP can be configured to have a ‘low profile’ appearance:
I mean, no orange/blue flashing entry in the taskbar or windows popping up when a new message is received or when a contact is coming online.
Just a window where incoming messages (and my own) are listed. New messages are just added to the window and that is it.
A IM client that is able to run from a memory stick is preferable.
