Hello everyone 😀
Currently, Magic PS 1.5 SE++ is the newest threat for stealing passwords from Yahoo! Messenger. If anyone know of a newer version or newer threat that steals YM! password, then please keep me posted. Currently Norton Antivirus 2005 and maybe 2004 can detect and kill this threat but you must do it in Window’s Safe Mode. I’m quite surprised that Webroot’s SpySweeper totally miss this dangerous software. Please share your ideas, and software that can eliminates this threats so anyone can go here and download the right software to kill it. I do know every single way to kill it manually, but it will be a huge guide to write up because the software can be customized, so there’s no one-way to kill it. Included is a picture of what the Magic PS 1.5 SE++ main menu looks like.
June 19, 2005 at 2:03 am #124558miGsMemberHi SS_AntiHacker ,
I would just like to ask something, there are programs out there that claims to detect MPS and Keyloggers, but when i scanned them using YahooFileSafe2, the result shows that MPS is found and possible keylogger.. why is it so?
My idea is that those MPS found by YahooFilesafe2 in those PS detector are just used as a comparison or some sort? im not sure and i might be wrong that is why im trying to clear things up:o
Im sure many will be attracted to download those programs so i guess its a good thing to check if they really are MPS detector.
Thanks in advance.

June 20, 2005 at 7:48 pm #124551SS_AntiHackerMemberDear miGs,
I will take a look at YahooFileSafe2 to see how it works. Also, what programs did you use that claim to detect Magic PS? Please let me know, I will test it and will post the results here.
June 20, 2005 at 8:35 pm #124552SS_AntiHackerMemberMost of you might not know that the Magic PS was created by a group of people in the Middle East. Now I have a program that I think was created by a different group of people in the Middle East to counteract the Magic PS Trojan. You could go here for the program: https://bigblueball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26591
Please note that I did NOT fully tested the program. Please use it at your own risk and please do provide feedback. Thank you =)
June 20, 2005 at 9:06 pm #124553SS_AntiHackerMemberCurrently Norton Antivirus 2005/2004 and AntiMPS program does indeed works and will rid your system of Magic PS (all versions).
Run AntiMPS first, AntiMPS will get rid of Magic PS from memory and registry changes. Next run Norton Antivirus to get rid of Magic PS’s files on your computer.
As for Yahoo! File Safe 2, Webroot Spysweeper (all versions) and as well as a couple of programs claiming to rid your PC of Magic PS does NOT work.
June 20, 2005 at 9:53 pm #124559miGsMemberHi SS_Antihacker,
I downloaded the Anti-MPS as well as Dermot’s Anti-Ps. But when i scanned it using Yahoo File Safe 2, both gave same alert that “Magic Password Stealer:Found! and a Possible Key Logger”. I got the same result when i scanned PS Detector 2.2. That is why the idea that having those MPS in these scanners/anti-MPS were being used as a comparison or some sort  again i maybe wrong on this.
Anyway, i think Unsakred can shed some light on the Yahoo File Safe 2 about these results.
Thanks SS_Antihacker and Dermot for the Anti-MPS programs.
June 20, 2005 at 10:06 pm #124556DermotParticipantPerhaps filesafe looks for certain registry entries.
And since my program undo’s the same entries it could be perhaps why.
The other program i guess scans the pc with relation to the Eoptions string and filesafe thinks it is a password stealer because of that.
But its anyones guess.
Dermot
June 20, 2005 at 11:31 pm #124554SS_AntiHackerMemberYeh, I would like Unsakred to share his ideas also. For me his program totally misses the newest version of Magic PS. Anyhow, if you did a full scan using Norton Antivirus 2005 and it came up with nothing, you can rest assure that your computer is fine.
