okay, a few days ago, my friend had up an away message that said somthing like “still best friends?” with a link. so I clicked it. ever since then, about a week ago, my aim keeps signing me on and off about every 10 minutes if I am not chatting. its very annoying. however, her problem is, whenever she puts up an away message, this weird thing changes her message to the one she clicked on (still best friends).
i believe that the website looked something like http://www.fals.net/bestfriends. however, a few days ago, I noticed the same website, but instead of http://www.fals.net/bestfriends it was /vindicated.
my friend told me that it was a worm or virus, but I ran norton antivirus and nothing showed up. now, no matter what computer I sign onto aim from, it still logs me off.
if anyone has seen or heard of this problem, please respond. thanks

Also maybe try running a different virus program like macfree or you can find some free ones online, not sure where. And also defenitily check for spyware that could have corupted aim. If worst comes to worst try uninstalling and reinstailling!

July 29, 2004 at 6:34 pm #75319bigcfkMemberTheres usually a program running with AIM. Its like that Happy Holidays thing Buddypic did. Ctrl+Alt+Delete and find something called bestfriends or something like that. Then in C>Windows> find it again when AIM is exited.
