i have xp msn 6.0 and a fast computer. I am using a labtecwebcam and when i send it to my freinds by hitting the webcam icon it is choppy. We both have cable modems. Im only using Internet explorer while the webam is on. What can i do to make the image smoother.
I used to have an old webcam and downloaded a logitech 1.1.2 program or something and it showed my video separate of msn but was used as an add in with msn messenger. I was able to send the logitech webcam to my online contacts. I cant find this program anymore. Anybody with any help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot

Theoretically there should be much difference between Logitech’s IM Video Companion (which they no longer support) and MSN Messenger 6’s video capability. That’s because the video chat in MSN 6 was developed by Logitech, based on what they did with IM Video Companion.
Make sure you’re using the “Send my webcam” action and not “Start videoconference.” The webcam action provides better video quality. The videoconference action adds audio and for some reason that I can’t explain, the video quality is awful.
