My computer is currently unusable.I recently instaled Madrake Linux 10.0 onto an External Hard drive. Everything went okay, but when I tried to boot it up for the first time, after the BIOS logo appeared, an L followed by a series of 99 99 99 99… appeared. I can’t do anything, except insert the Linux CD and get to the Rescue mode prompt or reinstall Linux with different options. I need to know exact directions on how to fix this, because this is my first time using linux and it is very unfamiliar to me. Here ar my system specs:
Micron PC Laptop
PIII 333mHz 128MB RAM
9.35 Hitachi HDD ((hda))
112GB External ACOM Data HDD ((sda))
The options when installing the boot loader are:
GRUB, LILO Text, LILO GUI;, hda, sda, sda1, sda5.
If anyone has any clue what the heck im talking about or has any advice for me or even knows how to fix it I would be very happy and thankful. Oh, and if you know of any other forums that deal with this sort of thing, post this (its ok to copy it) and see what people say. I appreciate it greatly!
