MemberTabMgr is a web based application for MSN Messenger 6.1 that allows you to manage and control your tabs. Download the TabMgr patch and then visit the management page to register your account.
At the moment you can’t create custom tabs yet, but you can of course choose from the collection of available tabs, move them up or down and delete them. You can get tabs from BigBlueball, Neowin, MsgPlus, MsnFanatic, Symantec Tracker..etc.
I tried it out on msn 6.1.0207 and it works great.

KeymasterFantastic! I’ve been waiting for this for a while. Thanks for sharing, ladie_vennom! I’ll have to check it out when I get home (damn msn-blocking-corporate-proxy!!!).
Nice that they included the BigBlueBall tab, too. 😉

MemberAfter i installed the patch some of my custom emoticons dont work anymore!:( this happen to anyone else or is it just me?

ParticipantI really really doubt it has done anything to your custom emoticons, it just changes a URL in the messenger file. Did you use any other MSN programs around that time?, like the “CE/DP Stealer”, ive heard a few horror stories 🙁
Anyway, could you please update the news post, you can now create custom tabs 😀

Memberthe only other program i use with msn is Msgplus. it doesnt really matter, its probably just my computer being awkward! Nothing that hitting it with a sledgehammer a few times wont fix.

If you have problems with the patching, delete the file msnmsgr.exe, and rename msnmsgr.exe.bak to msnmsgr.exeFebruary 19, 2004 at 9:52 am #51077dme

Is uninstallation necessary, or is it an insurance policy?February 19, 2004 at 4:38 pm #51071nathanintu

There’s no msnmsgr.exe.bak in the MSN Messenger folder.Yes, but you should have backed it up yourself 😉
Much to my annoyance, it did not work for me, citing a DOS error. (followed by installation arror 1603). MSN Reinstallation was fixed in less than two minutes, no problem, but no custom tabs either 🙁
Are there any known issues? I’m running MSN 6.1.0207 and MSN plus 2.54.74 on Windows XP SP1. -
