Cool.
This is going to sound really corny, but I thought I might be able to “trick” the computer. I'm studying statistics in my math class, and we have been using a table of random numbers. I thought I was being slick by using that table, perhaps reducing the odds if I used a computer generated table of random digits. Nope, it didn't work.
I feel like a dork now *walks away with tail in between legs and head down*
Yup. Dido is smart.
Wow. Those crazy things…
That was cool indeed.
No doubt I love maths.
I know how it works. We had to solve a similar problem in Physics. :~)
I don't want to tell and spoil it for anyone, but it doesn't really have to do with squares like Fido says :p
lol, i used 5550 then subtracted 0555 which left me with 5000. i then circled the 5 and typed in the 000. so the number that was supposed to show was a 5. it came up as a 9 -_-“
As to when I did it, I tried a few times and it got it 2/3 times. Don't ask me what numbers I used though, heh I don't remember, I did it a while ago mmmkay?
LOL! oh $#^@.. 🙁 i got owned.
I just didn't think it was possible to trick him into giving the wrong answer, so i looked at yours and tried it, but i noticed that the math was wrong. Sorry.
It's been there for years. Let's try not to think about it, because then our heads will throb, which bites.

haha, it's quite alright. My excuse is “i was attempting to multitask! i was scratching my head at the same time.” 😛
It's fun trying to trick it. *sigh*
like i said, i tried to trick it using a table of random digits from my math textbook. still didnt work. bummer.
