MemberDuring one of my recent random surfing sessions, I came across a truly awesome desktop enhancement progrem. Called Zmatrix, this program turns your backround into the now famous streaming symbols. I’ll save you all the boredom of reading my explanation of what the program allows you to do, and just get right to the links.
Check out the Zmatrix hompage at Zmatrix.n3.netthe Zmatrix hompage is currently down, go to it’s sourceforge project page to download it.
Check out the Zmatrix Sourceforge project homepage at this project pageGo download it! It’s awesome! Wait and die! No, really though, it’s quite amusing.
Enjoy! 😀

Download the binary, not the source. The source code is actually the programming code itself and is generally only interesting for other programmers.

Memberi wanna look at the source this is awesome… xpt i dont really use backgrounds anyway.. i use a simple black background but wow, this is amazing
I’m not sure whether this is a documented feature or an easter egg, but you sometimes see “The Matrix has you” appear… cool I’m gonna put this on a school computer, amaze all the other people.

Participantwhat does this use in terms of resources?? i imagine it sucks memory pretty hard?

MemberNo actually, for me it doesn’t take too much memory. And it allows you to set it’s processor priority so when your CPU’s load is heavy, it will pause.
