I am just wondering…
how many mbs are in a gig?
There are roughly 1,000 megabytes in 1 gigabyte. Technically the number is a bit more, but that’s the easiest way to remember it.
1024.576 megabytes, to be a bit more exact.
go to google, and type “byte converter” its amazing what people do in there spare time. Those are actually pretty useful when Im seeing how much space I got for CD’s, DVD’s etc…
is this basically the same conversion for mhz and gigahertz?
It should be, although not exact. It might be a few hertz off…i dunno…

You may or may not be aware of this, but it is built into Google…
Just type in X bytes in megabytes or something similar…it does just about everything I can think of (except currency)
Google can do a lot more than most people realize. http://www.google.com/help/features.html (http://www.google.com/help/features.html#calculator).
