Member of the Month – May 2004

I’d like to congratulate our Member of the Month for May: Ladie_Vennom. Jenny has been a member since May 2003, and while she’s not one of our most active members, when she does post, it’s with a combination of knowledge and style. I asked Jenny to tell us a bit about herself.

How did you find out about BigBlueBall? What made you stay?
Wow, I can’t even remember..its been so long. It must have been through Google, probably looking for some info on AIM.

Why did you choose ladie_vennom as your username?
I’m not to creative when it comes to choosing names, all my names are either from song titles or cd titles. So this name came from a song title by a Canadian group called “Swollen Members”. I liked the song so I picked it.

How many years have you been using computers? What do you with your computer?
I’ve been using computers since I was about twelve. At that time all I did was play games. 🙂 In 1999, I started a 3 year computer programming course (yea it was 3 years, but I wont say how long it took me..haha 😉 ) Yea so since then, I TRY and keep myself busy with remembering all the programming stuff I learned in school.

How long have you been instant messaging?
Started using icq in 1998. It was the first instant messenger I knew about. Then when I started college, everyone was either using AIM or MSN, so I moved on to those.

What is your favourite instant messenger?
Its a toss up between MSN and AIM. If I had to choose I would say AIM, since I use it more.

What is your favourite BigBlueBall forum?
The AIM forum is the first forum I usually go to. I like to try and help people out there, since I use AIM a lot.

What do you do when you’re not online?
Haha, when I’m I not online. I’m a geek..I’m always on this damn computer. But yea the times I’m away, I’m usually watching tv or probably out and about (or as us Canadians would say “oot and aboot”) enjoying the weather if its nice out.

What are your favourite movie, book and song?
Favourite move, damn that’s hard..I have so many. I can’t pick, one so I’ll give you 3. Grease, Back to the Future and Bettlejuice. Favourite book – umm yea I don’t read. Do magazines count? and song, yea I have to many favourites. I would have to say a lot of korn songs, since that’s my fave group.

Yea I would like to thank the Academy for this awa–….oops wrong people. 🙂 I just want to thank everyone on BBB, the staff..and all the members, this was totally unexpected. Thanks for making this community a fun place to come too.
