Mesenger freezes during sigining in .!!!

i have both versions of MSN mesenger (5.0 and 4.7) both of em worked fine but now sudenly the old version of Messenger stops responding during sign in .Can anybody help me .i have tried nearly everything from uninstalling aplications to installing the version again but nothing seems to work .

What kind of Internet Connection do you use?
How fast (or slow?) is your ‘puter’s processor? How much RAM does your ‘puter have?

yea…its right …it might be coz of ur conection….it happend to me …but nothing was special…………

I had the same problem when i had 32 MB of RAM….but when i upgraded it to 128 its working alright now!

i have 256 MB ram and my proseesor speed is 800MHZ . i dont think this problem has anything to do with both of em. i think its cuz of some software conflict .Because MSN 5 WOrks FIne
