Ok, I have recieved a forwarded message from various people on my buddy list, saying that if I do not forward the message to everyone on my buddy list that my name would be deleted from yahoo. This message also goes on to say that it is from the president or some other high officer of yahoo (supposedly). Now I know that this message is complete and total garbage, and has no merits whatsoever. I was wondering how many other people out there have received this message or one of it’s variants.:confused: I think if I recall corectly I’ve received like 4 or 5 different versions of this same message. I immediately replied to the person telling them that the message was bunk and figured that other people might want to know this as well before receiving the message and forwarding it to everyone on their list.
I don’t believe Yahoo! contacts people via messenger. Also, they would not have you forward anything. Unfortunately, most forwards these days are bunk. ESPECIALLY when they say “Forward to all of your friends” I don’t forward things anymore. And I’ve gotten to the point that if I have a “friend” who forwards too many things to me…I no longer talk to that “friend” for a little while. Friends don’t forward without thinking. You were right to think first and warn your buddies.
wow!!! when will theses messages stop coming??? do you think Y! will stop free services…. no way… if they do this then they will screw themselves… and that is 100% sure…

I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one receiving these garbage forwards through messenger. I think it’s amazing what people will do these days for a little entertainment. By the way Freddy your page on the subject shines a whole new light on it, If I receive any more of these bunk messages I’ll make sure they check out your page. I’m sure after reading it themselves they will send no more forwards.

I’v been getting those messages for 4 yrs now and not once have i passed them on, and not once have i gotten my account deleted or payed for messenger or whatever else they say. I think it is funny how people pass these on. It makes me wonder if they really believe it’s going to happen. Anyway, just found it interesting that I found this post. I’v heard many people complain about getting them and how much they hate em. 😀 okay i’m done.. hehe
