I’m am having a problem sending files on MSN 7.5.0324. I am running Windows XP Home Edition OS, have Sbcglobal DSL on a stand-alone desktop home computer. My Windows Firewall is disabled. I am running Norton Internet Security software 2005 Edition.
When I try to send files and the other party clicks accept, the transfer never starts. I finally get a message that “The Invitation could not be accepted.”
I have tried turning off my Norton, but this made no difference. Any thoughts on what the solution to this problem might be?
Thanks!
Question: are you able to receive file transfers without incident? And does your inability to send files occur with only one buddy, or every … ermm … buddy?
I have the same problem. I’m running XP Pro, Kaspersky Anti-virus and Zonealarm Pro firewall. ADSL – connection.
I can’t answer for the person starting the thread to begin with but I have problems both sending and recieving files. With all my buddies. Sometimes it works. A couple of weeks ago it stayed stable for 1 and a 1/2 weeks but now it’s the same again. I can’t see other people’s pictures either. They can see mine and most of them doesn’t have the same problem as I do.
I’ve poked around with the firewall and disabled the IM security but there was no difference.
A solution to this problem would be very much appreciated.
