MemberThere isn’t much to do really try the usual:
1)Reinstall MSN (COmpletely Remove it First)
2)Check to make sure it just isn’t ur computer’s fault.June 11, 2003 at 11:45 pm #95161Eklypse
MemberThx for reply. first I uninstall messenger with the uninstall on add/remove programs. I dont know how to remove it completly. Second, this is the only program that have this such of problem. Every of my soft works well. On 2003, before I install messenger 6 (messenger 5 was install before) messenger works well. Am I alone with this kind of problem ? Even if i reinstall messenger 5, I have the problem too. Strange, it can’t comes from a dll, or something ?

MemberHaving the same problem…. And not sure how to remedy it. I have not tried any of the things you have. I cannot verify that it does the same on MSN 5.0. I will and get back to you.

MemberIt is most likely the amount of people that are on your list and the amount of people that have added you to theirs.
If I try to sign on with my screen name that over 2000 people have added (no lie, ask Jeff!), MSN freezes for 20 minutes (yes, minutes!) and then finally brings up my contacts list.
Having said all that, is a four seconds wait before you can start messaging people really such a burden?
