I’ve read though a few posts here and haven’t seen anything specific to my issue.
Sometimes when using messenger, someone will send me a message that I don’t receive — my friend always receives my messages however. I also have issues where I’ll get several messages all at the same time so I think the late messages and dropped messages are somewhat related. Is anyone else having an issue like this?
I’ve never had this issue before but when I’m lagging on Yahoo, my Comcast connection remains healthy when browsing the internet. I’m wondering if it’s a problem with one of the hops on the way from Comcast to Yahoo or a Yahoo specific issue — or perhaps my software, who knows.
Also, I’m assuming Yahoo has different servers you can log into. My friend is in Canada and she is not having this phenomenon. Would this require downloading the Canadian version of messenger to experiment?

Hopefully Yahoo will fix it soon. 🙂

I found a post in another forum suggesting you disable ALL pop up blockers including those on any toolbars such as yahoo or google you may have added. That seemed to do the trick for me. As to why? I have no idea but it worked in my case. Good luck I know how frustrating it is.
